how tall are you? and what position you play. you can not focus one work out for one job like rennobdiug. Rather you should find a over all routine that can help your over all game. but for defense, you need experience, figure out what the person you are guarding is about to do and beat them to it, learn how to use the court to make them work harder. to help, work on some foot work, learn to slide your food instead of running with the ball. keep your body low and your hand high (notice I say hand not Hands ) study the picks and watch out for open man and cutters. communicate with your teammates to excange or switch, contest every shot. for rebound, for tall people, do lots of push up and pumping weights. It will provide the body strengh you need to box out people and fight for position, I seen people get rebound with out jumping with really good boxing out. for shorter people, I perfer to let the tall people to do their job. lol~ but work out routine to increase your speed and jumping ability would help. Study tapes of Rondo, and see how he move to get the rebound. anyways. Good luck .
