Once I'd dowloaded Samsung New PC stiduo' (free from Samsung's website) I used this cable to add tracks to a memory card I had put in the phone to listen to on the phone's Music Player. The Music Player doesn't recognise the mp3 files if you don't use the cable with Samsung's sotware. Luckily I had XP on an old computer as Samsung still haven't released a version for Windows 7.

There are many tutorials on the web that show you how to miodfy the jar as well as many sites with modified jar downloads. I don't see any reason for me to duplicate them.I wrote this post to show how to miodfy the jad to get rid of the virtual keyboard because it is has many advantages and is less well known then jar modification.
